Weymouth
has so much to offer the visitor from its heritage heartland where
historical buildings, a restored Victorian Fort, pubs, restaurants,
visitor attractions and museums merge with the new town centre
shopping complex, 10 pin bowling and 9 screen multiplex cinema. Face
a bustling flotilla of fishing boats, pleasure craft, yachts,
catamarans and the high speed fast Condor Ferries making their day
trips to the Channel Islands and St Malo in France when walking
around the harbourside area.
Whatever you're looking for, Weymouth
makes the ideal base from which to tour. Much of the countryside
surrounding Weymouth has been designated an "Area of Outstanding
Natural Beauty" and in December 2001 received World Heritage Status.
From the European Award-winning coastline of dramatic cliffs, quiet
coves, shingle banks and sandy beaches, to the patchwork quilt
landscape of fields and rolling hills, Dorset offers an unrivalled
variety of moods and scenery.
Within
two minutes walk of your holiday home ‘Mistral’ you have Lodmoor
Country Park, where you will find a host of Top Family Attractions
The Country Park is a unique 350 acre
site overlooking the magnificent Weymouth Bay, located to the east
of Weymouth and just a fifteen minute walk from the town centre,
Georgian Seafront and Beach.
The Park is a perfect family day out,
picnics, walking and enjoying a host of family attractions leisure
areas and an RSPB Nature reserve. The main attractions include; the
Sea Life Centre, Go-Karts’, Pirates Adventure Pitch and Putt Golf,
Children’s Roller Coaster Ride, Miniature Railway rides, and a SK8
Park and also a small golf course too. Loads and loads to keep
everyone in the family occupied.
The Lodmoor Inn, a Brewster’s Public
House, is also just around the corner from Mistral with a super kids
play area and a great food menu, why bother cooking at all!

Weymouth’s beautiful award winning
beaches are a two minute walk away from Mistral. It's safe, it's

children's play zone - a double attraction under one roof.
Just off the harbourside in Hope Square,
the impressive Victorian brewery buildings have been redeveloped
into an award winning family attraction. Brewers Quay is a labyrinth
of courtyards and cobbled alleys and around every corner you will
discover arts, crafts and specialist shops.
The
Timewalk attraction inspired by Weymouth's turbulent past; Brewery
Days which explores our brewing heritage; Discovery with a wide
range of stimulating experiences plus Weymouth Museum are all worth
a visit.
The Nothe Gardens and Fort are also close by and the Nothe Fort is
yet another top family attraction. The many displays, the maze of
tunnels, the great guns, plus fantastic views from the ramparts
provide a memorable visit.
Radipole Lake Swannery and RSPB Nature
Reserve sits right in the centre of Weymouth, just a few minutes
walk from the beach. The unique reserve is one of the most popular
in England and many of the birds are exotic visitors from far
